  • April 30 Palms Solutions invited at the Global Health Catalyst (GHC) of Harvard Medical School  to the  Global Health Catalyst Summit at Dana Faber Cancer Institute / Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Massachusetts USA.The Global Health Catalyst (GHC) summit at Harvard is a premier yearly event designed to catalyze high impact international partnerships to eliminate global health disparities and curb the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), with emphasis on cancer.

 

  • May 13 For the fourth year in a row, Mandela Washington Fellows from the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) will convene in Washington, DC at the conclusion of their 6-week Academic and Leadership Institutes to participate in the Mandela Washington Fellowship Summit.  This year we will welcome a cohort of 1,000 of Africa’s most promising young change makers.

  • July 31, took part at the conference at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to discuss the Notices of Funding Opportunity for the fiscal year 2017 Citizenship and Assimilation Grant Program.

 

  • August 6 Palms Solutions helped create the “Side by Side” program in collaboration with Drexel University. The program examines the relationship between civic engagement, democratic participation and community change in urban settings

  •  November 11 Palms Solutions active contributor to “The popular Philadelphia International Unity Cup”— an annual World Cup-style soccer tournament created to promote support, inclusion and appreciation for the city’s immigrant communities — hosts its free-to-attend championship game between Sierra Leone and Liberia
