Consortium for the Emerging Africa (CFA)
CFA aims to mobilize and enhance the human and financial capital contributions of primarily African Francophone Diaspora and other stakeholders to the economic development of their home countries. CFA will focus on strengthening Francophone groups and organizations and individual professionals through a consortium, of the revolves around four economic development pillars including:
- Policy: Working with partner countries to encourage policies that will ease and insure the engagement of the African Francophone their Diaspora in economic and social development activities. Moreover, reinforce the network and dissemination of information among Francophone communities and professionals in the U.S.
- Financial and Sustainable Livelihoods in Rural Settings: Working with African Francophone Diaspora and other stakeholders to promote investments and remittances in ways that would be beneficial to all actors. Palms Solutions will also closely work with communities based organizations (CBO), Non-Governmental(NGOs) and grassroots organizations, throughout a number of African Francophone countries. It aims to identify sustainable livelihoods best practices, and design models of economic development scalable, replicable and tailored to the needs of the given rural group.
- Human capital and Professional Diaspora Database: Working with partner countries, Diaspora professional networks and hometown associations, to increase knowledge sharing and brain gain between the Diaspora and their home countries. to undertake human capital development projects for higher education, health, women empowerment, business investment, through community driven development approaches. Moreover, Palms Solutions looks is compiling an African Francophone Diaspora database including country, gender, social status, and fields of interest for research. The system will automatically match the needs of developing countries and the expertise of the Diaspora.The integrated database will provide:Tangible and credible data about the Francophone Immigrants in the U.S; Stronger and sustainable partnerships between the stakeholders; Economic opportunities to African businesses through increased awareness and contracts in the U.S; A platform for networks and exchanges of knowledge.
- Diplomacy and Trust: Bridging the African Francophone Diaspora, and other stakeholders with their home countries, facilitate the creation of an overseer consortium foray activity involving the Diaspora investments
