“Strengthening links between Africa and the Diaspora”, a meeting chaired by Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade, 9/11. Meeting and Reception with President Abdoulaye Wade President of Senegal Progress on Agreements between U.S. and Senegalese Partners and strengthening links between Africa and the Diaspora. At the historic Schaumburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, Palms Solutions was honored to have been selected among the African American Diaspora organizations to participate in the meeting on “Promoting Closer Cooperation between Africa and the Diaspora”, chaired by President Abdoulaye Wade, Head of State of the Republic of Senegal. Additional distinguished guests included the President of the Republic of Ivory Coast, Allasane Dramane Ouattara; the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Jean Ping; as well as Mayor Robert Bowser of East Orange, NJ, President of the National Conference of Black Mayors (NCBM), Dr. Julius Garvey, son of Pan Africanist Henry C. Lea Schoolder Marcus Garvey and Professor Leonard Jeffries of the City University of New York. The meeting helped forged the African Renaissance and Diaspora Network to strengthen the ties between Africa and Diaspora and promote sustainable human development. Senator Bill Perkins, New York State Senate. Senator Perkins represents the 30th Senatorial District, which is part of New York County and encompasses Harlem, the Upper West Side and Washington Heights. See pictures
“African Caribbean Business Council Meeting, 9/11” Palms Solutions was invited to the African and Caribbean Business Council (ACBC) meeting at the University of Pennsylvania. The 2011 theme was: “DRIVING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND BUILDING ACCESS TO THE GLOBAL MARKET”. See pictures
“United Nations World Peace Day Celebration 9/11” To celebrate UN World Peace day, Mr. Kouassi was invited by Business without Borders to give a presentation on the theme: “Prosperity in Peacetime” at Villanova University. See picture
“Meeting with Mr. Moussa Makan Camara, Ambassador of the Francophonie at the United Nations, NY, 8/11. ” Mr. Kouassi was privileged to meet Mr. Camara for the initiation of collaboration between Palms Solutions the Francophonie to expand and advertise the French language, while promoting African Francophone cultural and linguistic heritage.
“United Nations Meeting: Forging Closer Links Between Africa and the Diaspora 5/11.” As organization active in the mobilization and the harnessing of the strengths of the African Diaspora, Palms Solutions was invited by The Permanent Observer Mission of the Africa Union to the United Nations and the UN Senior Africans Group and the African Diaspora to take part in the “FORGING CLOSER LINKS BETWEEN AFRICA AND THE DIASPORA.” See pictures
“African Union Summit in Addis Abeba (Ethiopia) 1/11. ” As president of the African Francophone Diaspora for Global Sustainable Development Initiative, Mr. Kouassi took advantage of his invitation to the African Union Summit, to encourage the integration of the African Francophone First Ladies into the «African First Ladies Strategic Initiative« program. The project aims to reinforce the capacity building of the First Ladies in the areas of grants network, leadership building, social media and advocacy. See pictures
